We are very pleased to offer this rare carved angel skin coral cameo pendant featuring the likeness of Demeter, the goddess of Agriculture and Vegetation, circa 1860. She is the daughter of the Titan rulers and the sister of Zeus, Hades, Hera and Poseidon.

The carver was highly skilled taking extra care in executing the finest detailing in the facial features of this beautiful woman, her hair and wheat sheaves in her hair. It has a modern wire wrapped mounting with a textured silver wire to be worn as a pendant. It could easily be removed without injury to the cameo, to convert to something more traditional if desired. The cameo alone measures 1 1/8" by 3/4" by 3/8" thick. Excellent condition, no damages.
