SALE Vintage Set of 22 Demitasse Cups and Saucers with Matching Cake Plates, Colclough China.

This is a set of six demitasse cups and saucers by Colclough China, made in England. Accompanying this set are 10 handled cake plates. The cups have a pale green top and the remainder of the cup is white. The white serves as a background for the colorful floral center. Gold trim is around the rim, the bottom, the inside of the cup and on the handle. The demitasse cup is 2 1/2" with a 2 5/8" rim. The matching saucer is a replica of the cup. It is 4 7/8" in diameter.

The handled cake plate also has the matching pale green boarder and floral centerpiece. This plate is 7 7/8" in diameter. All three pieces are marked Colclough China, Made in Longton, England. Genuine Bone China. It is unknown if this manufacturer is still making this pattern. Interestingly, most of the cups are saucers are numbered in black and/or gold leaf. This mark was used from 1939 to 1954.
