Antique Georgian Gold Pear and Gem set REGARD Ring!

The ring has two row of ten(10) luster seed pearls or half pearls, in the center of the two rows there set with six(6) genuine gem stones, as Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby, and Diamond respectively.

They are secret code for word "REGARD", which is very poplar in the Georgian/Victorian era.

Genuine Antique REGARD pieces are getting harder and harder to find and are highly sought after. This one is in very good shape.

Two of the pearl show some minor wear which does not take away their beauty or luster, one pearl to the very end maybe a later replacement. The diamond is a rose cut, all the rest gemstones are cabochons. The ring is solid gold, most like higher 18k gold over a lower perhaps 9k gold, which is a common practice for antique rings of the period.

All the pearls and gemstone are in closed back cut down setting, on the back of the ring there is even a locket that once held a lock of hair, how nice!

The ring is a finger size 7 3/4, the head measures 5/8" by 1/4", weight 3.1g. Condition is very good.
