REDUCED Antique POCKET WATCH, Elgin American Hunter Case, Gold Filled

Beautiful Hunter Case Elgin American pocket watch in nice engraved and engine turned triple hinged case. The watch has its original shovel or spade shaped cobalt blue hands. I'm not a dealer or a collector of pocket watches so my knowledge is limited but I think this watch would date from circa 1883-1889 and is either size 16 or size 17. The dial measures 1.50" and the total case measurement is 1.75". The number on the inside of the case is 12671 and the case also states that the watch is "warranted".

I have given you a close up shot of the interior works of the watch and on that photo you will see another number, along with the name of the company. It has been recently cleaned and is currently in working condition.

The case has some nice "fancy" work on it and the front has a cartouche in which are engraved the initials "MLH". The back of the case is also full of scrolls and flourishes with what looks like a rose in the center. The case has only some time and use related surface scratching. The face of the watch is white enamel and it has some slight hairline crazing. There is a very small, actually tiny dent on the front cover in about the 5:00 o'clock position or lower right on the edge.
