I purchased two of these postcards under the Berlin Bahnhof when I was in Germany in1994. I still have two of them so you can purchase one or both. They are printed on lightweight manila paper, not card stock as postcards are usually printed on. The stamp is of the German leader during that time and it is also printed. The card measures 5.75"x4" and is in good age related condition. The card is blank on the reverse, unused. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases, please email me.

This card has been postally used and was sent to Frau Ruth Ludewig in Dresden in 1942. It bears the stamp of the leader of the country in those years and is a preprinted card making an announcement of some sort. The card is just brown paper, not card stock so it is rather "flimsy". This grouping includes a one mark note from Gemeinde Scheebel. I have put six great notgeld together in this bunch. There are three bills from stadt Bitterfeld, and one each from Friedrichroda, Paderhorn and Siegburg. These bills were issued after World War I when the value of the national currency was grossly inflated and small towns started to issue their own currency to be used, usually, only in the issuing town. These small nicely designed notes are fun to collect or they can be re-purposed into a collage or an art project. Nice bit of history!

There are five notes in this batch, all in uncirculated condition. Two are from the town of Bitterfeld, one from Oberhof, one 50 pfennig note that is printed in old German script that I cannot read and the last one looks as if it is a "good for" for a concert hall or a music festival. I do not speak or read German but some words are familiar to me. Hopefully, if you are a collector you are acquainted with these words. I can see with a magnifying glass that this wreck took place in the Redwood Mill Town of Scotia, CA. The mill building is faintly seen in the background. This car is really mangled and I can't tell what model or year it is. I like the interesting faces of the bystanders and especially the uniform of the Sheriff or Highway Patrolman. I laughed when I first looked at this card and saw the bathing suits the bathers were wearing! You can see distinctly the sign in the background that says..."Surf Bathing Long Beach. Cal. but I think that was put there by the photographer. I don't doubt it is Long Beach because of the pier. You can see that it still bears the black photo mounts from the old album, but it unused. I am listing this as a Polish antique photograph rather than Russian. The inscription on the reverse is very clearly written but I cannot read it. I think this car is parked in front of a lumber mill. It can barely be seen behind the front of the car. Also there is a pile of logs in the background. I don't know what kind of car this is but the vintage is early 20th century. The picture is a little light exposed on the top edge, the corners are somewhat bumped. It measures 4.75"x3" and is lightly soiled.

The style of this young guy's suit, which I think is called a Sack Suit, dates this photo to the late 1870's as far as I can tell. Although, clothes were worn longer and were often tailored smaller for the "next in line". I just looked through my loupe and I see that his pants are plaid and his coat has a small pin stripe. Not a suit at all but a "clothing collection". Age related soil, light sepia toned image.

CDV photos date from 1850 to 1890 so this photo falls somewhere is that 40 years time span. I would like to date it exactly by this young boy's clothes but I can't tell when they were in style. He seems to have a high top boot with a higher heel on. His jacket is too large which makes me believe his "long" pants aren't supposed to be long but are short pants that are too big.
