I purchased this locket in London on a Saturday morning. Saturday's in London are my favorite days. I get up early and go for a run, ending at my local coffee shop where I negate my run by indulging in a large latte and a giant, fresh, chocolate croissant. They are still warm. Then it's off to Portobello Road for the big Antiques market. Dealers from all over Europe come and rent small stalls in the galleries along the road. Some stall out on the street, which is too crowded with tourists to admit cars through. I start at the top of the road, trying to get there by 6:30 am. I wander the galleries, I try and find a few new people to buy from, chat with old friends, pet their dogs who snore softly from under the booths. Yup, I found this locket there, it was better than the chocolate croissant!

Lovely oval locket with sweet, delicate engraving all around. The green enamel is perfect, the front floral detail is set with winking rose cut diamonds. This one was a find! It tests as 18 karat gold. Made around 1860 it weighs 5.5 grams. It has no marks.

All of my items include FREE SHIPPING via UPS Second Day Air for items under $5000, or via UPS Next Day Air for items over $5000. (You are always welcome to upgrade your shipping for a small fee). Sorry, this offer is limited only to customers in the US. If you are having a piece mailed to an address outside the US, please be advised the your shipment may require the payment of import tax, please look into it before ordering so you know what your true cost will be. All overseas shipping is via FedEx.

Please note that in general I do not clean or polish any items before photographing them. I will certainly have my jeweler clean all appropriate items before they are sent out (some items should not be cleaned and I will note this upon purchase). Also, sizing is available on most rings unless otherwise noted. There is a nominal charge and it will add about a day to when the order goes out (sizing is included in any purchase over $2,500). Please inquire if you would like your ring sized.
