When your husband, your daughters and your jeweler all flip over a piece of jewelry you've acquired, you know Lady Luck was smiling on you the day you found it.

That's how it's been with this unique and utterly exquisite white gold and diamond bangle and ring set. It's just out of this world in every way: quality, style, and beauty.

When it came back from the appraiser who valued it at $8725 CAD (that's over $8100 USD right now - 22/9/09), our jeweler immediately made me an offer on this set but I didn't acquire this one to sell it to him. It's for our customers. But you can't blame him for wanting it for his real world shop with its 1.67cts of diamonds and 29.10 grams of gold!

Stamped 14k and "DIA", the custom-made, hand assembled set has a total of 11 diamonds, all Si-1 to Si2 clarity and F to H color. Please double-click on the appraisal in photo #8 to read the actual sizes of the stones. The bangle alone has 1.13 cts of diamonds; the ring has 0.55cts, for a total of 1.67cts in the full set.

By our ring sizer, the ring is a size 7.5, having an inner diameter of 18mm. I'd like to think resizing will be no problem as the width of the band at the bottom is a full 1/4 inch ... very wide! However, because the diamonds are tension set, re-sizing may be a problem. If you are interested in this set, and this is not your ring size, let us find out from our jeweler if it can be done to your need. As for the top of the ring, north to south with those two gorgeous tension-set diamonds, it measures just under 3/4 inch wide.

The tension-set bangle is for a larger wrist though I'm sure someone with a smaller wrist won't worry about wearing it. My daughter who runs this shop with me adores this set. It's shown on her wrist in the photo and she has small wrists i.e. 6 1/4 - 6 1/2. In the case of this bangle, closed its inner measurements are 2.5 inches X 2 inches. It opens to a generous 4 1/4" for easy insertion on your wrist.

The lock on this bangle is intriguing: it slips into a groove but then it has a tiny clasp that locks right around the band ... very secure! You have to unclasp that lock before you can engage the spring to undo the bangle. Quality all the way and no chain to get caught on something.

Like I said, this set is the epitome of quality, style and beauty in simplicity: just fabulous diamonds in one of the classiest pieces of jewelry you'll ever see. Make it yours. My jeweler is waiting for me to accept his offer but I'd prefer to sell it to you.
