Those who love those heavy large glass crystal beads of bygone days will flip over this deep topaz set signed "Sherman" ... so warm, rich looking and classy!

But I must tell you that when this set arrived, I nearly died. As I lifted out of its packaging, one of the strands broke and those glorious Swarovski crystals spilled all over my floor. I was devastated! However, fortunately, we managed to find just about all of them and thanks to my daughter's good eyesight and re-threading abilities, this fabulous set is now good as new. She re-threaded the broken strand on new nylon thread and then we decided to do the other one too ... just in case. We didn't want someone else to buy it and have that happen to her.

Now just recently, a visitor to our shop gave me this information: "These are old Swarovski MINK crystals – one of the rarest (and most beautiful!" No wonder the string was frail. But how nice to find these beads are so rare!

So, if deep topaz/brown crystals beads are your color, here we have for you a 125 gram 2 strand Sherman necklace, with crystals ranging from 3/8" diameter to almost 1/2" diameter. Between each bead are tiny glass crystal spacing beads. The expert faceting on the beads along with the AB wash gives off colors of topaz, rust, brown and gold...all so warm and rich looking. The strands measure 22 and 24 inches and are held in place on either side by a long gold-plated spacer set about 2" from the clasp.

The 3/4" diameter clasp itself is just lovely with its 7 even-sized crystals set in a scalloped gold-plated bezel. You could wear it showing at the front or side, and not just at the back of the neck. The clasp locks securely and is stamped "Sherman".

The matching clip-on earrings are signed "Sherman" in block lettering, and like the clasp consist of 7 crystals wired together. They measure 7/8" long and 5/8" wide.

As far as wear goes, there's very little wear showing on the gold-plate backing of the clasp or the earrings. Given the necklace strand was frail enough to snap when I got it, you realize this is an old set, and can expect some wear to the AB finish on the crystals. But again, you do not readily see this unless looking through a loupe or under the magnification of the camera.

This is one of the last Shermans I will ever list. If you look at my other costume jewelry items, you'll see mention that I am liquidating all my designer signed and unsigned costume jewelry. This lovely set is no exception. It's priced to sell. If this is your color, make this gorgeous set yours. With that re-threading we had to do, you have lots of years of wear with this one now.
