Entirely made by hand is this most exquisite, one-of-a-kind custom engagement, eternity or right-hand ring! Set with the ABSOLUTE FINEST ruby we've EVER seen, along with two gorgeous high quality F color diamonds, this incredible masterpiece is utterly breathtaking and very valuable.

Certified for over $5,200 CDN (over $4,980 USD as of Oct.2009) by a GIA Graduate/AGS Certified Gemologist, no detail has been left out of this ring's award-winning 'Arabesque' design. Completely hand made from 19k white gold (stamped 18k, but certified as 19k), the band is carved with alternating swirls running around the entire band, leading up and into one bezel-set round brilliant diamond on either side of the immaculate ruby. Each diamond weighs 0.12ct, with a high clarity of VS1 and 'colorless' F color. Diamonds this white (D,E,F) are rare and considered colorless in the trade.

In between the diamonds and the ruby is some colored 19k gold, which is a yellowish to red hue. I mention "red", as on a separate identification card I have for this ring "red gold inlay" is written on it. However, it looks more yellow than red (which is a richer version of pink gold), so I'll call it yellow. This different shade of gold is ONLY between the diamonds and ruby, perhaps to enhance the dramatic color difference between the diamonds, gold and ruby, or simply part of the construction since every section of the ring is hand made.

Now to the showpiece: The FINEST - and I mean FINEST - purest, deep blood red natural ruby you will ever lay your eyes on. I love rubies, and have a decent sized collection of them, but NONE compare to this ruby. Weighing 1.22cts, per the appraisal, its color is slightly purplish red, with strong saturation and medium tone. It is emerald cut (rare for natural rubies - most are too included to cut this shape) and set in a 19k white gold half-bezel. This ruby is absolutely eye-clean, and is rich in color and transparent with an glowing high brilliance.

It is difficult to come by rubies this fine. It is fair to say that the pictures have captured a lot of the beauty this ring possesses, however, until you have it on your hand, it's probably hard to fathom just how incredible this ring and its ruby are.

SIZE: 6 1/2 to 6 3/4; To size DOWN, sizing balls could be added without too much difficulty. However, sizing up is most likely not possible. Perhaps the band could be cut into and sized, but only a sizing bar could be put in - no 'carving' added. If on the underside of the band, only you would know its there, but as always, we advise NOT to re-size this ring due to the structure of its band.
