Just back from being appraised at $1850 CAD (that's $1721 USD right now) this unique ring in fabulous condition features a claw-set, pear-shaped fire opal that measures 7.50 mm X 5.0 mm X 3.80 mm. The color of this gemstone is incredible: a brilliant red/orange, it is super clear with no inclusions and weighs .55cts. What an opal!

Flanking it on one side are 7 bright round H-color diamonds, and on the other side, 4 square-shaped, bezel set black diamonds, though why they are called "black" beats me. They are a gorgeous deep blue shade that the appraiser terms "flashfire". These 4mm X 2.9 mm stones form a stunning contrast to the fire in that opal. Another 7 brilliant H-color diamonds run along the left hand bottom of the ring. Overall, the display and design is simply riveting.

You can see the full details regarding the quality of the diamonds etc in the accompanying appraisal in photo #8. Of course, the appraisal comes with your purchase. Overall, there's .28cts of diamonds and .75 cts of opals. The total weight of the ring is 6 grams, all finished in 14k yellow gold, hallmarked and stamped on the inside of the band.

By my ring-sizer, this beauty is a 6 3/4. I'm getting around 17mm for the inner diameter. There's stacks of gold in this one if you need to re-size.
