Well if that suits you (pun intended) and you love the look and colorfulness of cloisonne, here's a beautiful bangle for your consideration. We snagged this one on a recent jaunt at our local antique market and I couldn't resist!
There's not much to tell you about it. The photos say and show it all. This is a "no name" ... or as I prefer to call them, an unsigned beauty. It's a full 1" wide at the top which is where it opens easily for you to clamp it on. The hinge is at the bottom where the bangle tapers to 3/8" wide.
What struck me most about this bangle was the lovely cloisonne work, still in great condition with very minimal wear to the gold plate along the edges. There's a pretty scalloped beading edging the cloisonne design. Except for a small piece that appears to have chipped out of the center (and I didn't see that until I looked through the loupe to write it up here) all the enamel finish is intact and looking great. You can see that chip in photo #5, the closeup of the centerpiece. But it's hard to see without going that close!
The inner measurements are the standard 2 1/4" X 2" and it opens wider under that centerpiece to slip on your wrist. If that looks like a break in the photos, it's not: it's the section where the bangle opens.
If you love or collect cloisonne, and like a showy clamper bangle, this one is for you!
