I've never been one to pursue snake jewelry (rings, bangles, necklaces) for myself and have often wondered why they are so very popular. And yet, after researching the topic for my blog, and seeing how quickly snake bangles sell when I get one for our shop here, well, who can deny their appeal to snake jewelry collectors.

So, it's with excitement this time that I offer you this fabulous snake bangle I've come across. What a rare find! Dating back to the 1930's, it's more than just another snake bangle: it's a cobra bangle! Maybe you've seen one like this before but I certainly haven't and when I saw it, I had to have it.

Fashioned of 925 silver (stamp is worn to nearly invisible but it's been tested) this bangle weighs just under 20 grams and coils beautifully on your wrist or higher on the arm. It's very flexible so you can adjust it to wear as you wish or to accommodate any size wrist. At only 1/8" wide, the bangle remains feminine and dare I say it, 'sexy"! The detailing on the cobra's tail and head is excellent, and making this snake bangle even more unique is the position of the snake's head: this cobra is ready to strike!
