Rare, beautiful - what a ring!! There's no denying the beauty in blue sapphire - vibrant, brilliant, every shade under the sun! So, what happens when one of those gorgeous blue gems changes its color into purple?? Well, you have one awesome rare stone! And this one's set in an equally beautiful 14k gold diamond setting!

Color-change gems, known also as 'phenomenal gems' are amazing creations...Alexandrite is perhaps the most familiar when 'color-change' is mentioned, but others such as garnet, spinel, quartz and even some diamonds have the chemical composition to change color too!

This sapphire changes from a brilliant prized royal blue color to a deep lustrous plum-purple to indigo-violet! And it takes little to see this change...right now as I write this, that beauty is dark purple, but if I change the angle of my light, or walk into another room, the blue comes right back into play!!

This is absolutely a natural sapphire, confirmed by both of our GIA graduate gemologists. Oval cut, it measures approximately 6.62 x 5.43mm and weighs an approximate 1.25cts. It is eye-clean with defining features only visible under magnification!! This is such an exciting stone to have in our ring collection!!

While the head holding the sapphire is 14kt white gold, the rest of the ring is 14kt yellow gold! The setting features beautiful clean baguette and round brilliant cut diamonds of excellent clarity and color! The diamonds all average VS1-Si1 clarity and G-I color. Twenty in total, they range from an estimated 2-3pts each, for roughly 0.56cts in beautiful diamonds! Their brilliance compliments the sapphire perfectly!!
