MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION FOR A RARE KEEPSAKE RING!!

An exquisite, rare find, here we are proud to re-offer to our Ruby Lane clientele this FANTASTIC Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts 14k Gold Ruby and Diamond Ring! LAYAWAY Always Available!

Circa 1910, this ring features all the classics of the Arts & Crafts period during the Art Nouveau movement: Bezel set gems (diamonds & rubies in this case), dainty gold leaves & flowers, a large, high setting, and intricate, heavy gold work (14k yellow gold for this piece). And when we say "large", we aren't kidding! This knock-out antique ring weighs 10.32 grams, measures 24.90mm by 24.30mm wide, and the top of the ring (from finger to top diamond) sits 11.56mm tall. Its size is approximately a US 8, and it is sizable.

This spectacular masterpiece makes me think of Royalty, dressed to the nines with their big, ornate precious rings showcased across all their fingers, in a bid to outdo the next! While the entire ring, in our personal opinion is the "focal" point, centered in the setting is one lightening white, early round brilliant cut diamond. It has a very slight rounded-rose shape cut to it, but it definitely looks more brilliant cut than rose. Its clarity is excellent at Si1, and being so white, it just pops out of its yellow gold bezel setting. It is approximately 0.16ct (measured within bezel setting) and is just gorgeous!

As the ring has a rounded-square design to it, in the corners of the ring are 4 more round brilliant diamonds, measuring 2.6mm approximately each, for another 0.24cts in diamonds (0.06ct each approx.). These sparklers are VS2-Si1 in clarity and are also bright white, matching the center diamond perfectly. Total diamond carat weight is 0.40ct approx.

Adorning the diamonds are 8 glowing rubies, that test as genuine and look to be perhaps of Burmese Origin. We make a note of this, as many Art Nouveau and Art Deco rings used synthetic rubies. However, these rubies have the natural characteristic inclusions of genuine rubies, where as synthetic tend to be flawless and crystal clear. There are 4 tiny rubies (1.25mm each) set into the flowers that surround the 0.16ct diamond, and 4 larger rubies set in the center of the leaves that measure around 2.15mm each, for a total ruby carat weight of 0.20ct. All the rubies are bezel set, and it is fascinating studying the craftsmanship of this hand-set ring. There is some minuscule abrading only visible under our loupe to a few of the rubies, but to the naked eye, they are still perfect. Given the age of this ring, wear is expected, and we grade this ring Above Average to Excellent for its condition.

As to value, a ring of this quality, condition and rareness is in a league of its own. Personal preference naturally also plays a part in placing a value on any particular piece of jewelry. Currently, and in the past, comparable pieces, though difficult to find, were priced at $7,000 US, and another in between 5000-10,000 British Pounds. Neither were "Signed" pieces, and both were very similar (one down to having flowers, leaves, and bezel set rubies & diamonds just as this does).

However, always out to give you the best deal possible, we're pricing this one at a price we can all afford - a price that pays respect to the age, beauty, materials and craftsmanship of the piece, but that isn't outrageous and unaffordable. And remember, LAYAWAY is always available!

The only one we have, and not at all easy to come across, don't miss owning this beautiful antique collectible ring!

NOTE: Re-listed due to a canceled layaway. Please don't let this rare ring sit "Sale Pending" again!
