The color purple....from the lightest lilac to the deepest indigo, purple is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful colors that exists. And here in this gorgeous estate ring exists a purple-indigo-blue natural tanzanite that is so incredible in color (and fire) you won't be able to un-glue your eyes from it!

Discovered in the late 1960's, tanzanite belongs to the Zoisite family and is known for its strong trichroism - a blend of 3 colors: purple, blue and burgundy-red. Heated to get its brilliant purple-blue hue, tanzanite become dichroic once heated, meaning only 2 colors, red & blue remain, creating the delicious purple you see in this particular tanzanite!

Now about this ring: Certified as 'eye-clean', by GIA standards, this gem is 'flawless' by their colored gemstone grading standards. The color is just superb, graded as 'very slightly grayish, violetish blue color GIA vB 6/3' and its carat weight is 1.39cts. I personally adore the cut on this beautiful gem - a very well cut 'cushion cut' that allows those blues & reds to reflect that stunning purple you see.

The gem is regally set in 14kt white gold and is held securely by 4 triangular corner prongs. The setting is fantastic, showcasing bead-set diamonds all around the tanzanite and set into both sides of the ring. Totaling 0.55cts (stamped on band), there are 48 round brilliant diamonds graded Si1-Si2 in clarity and G-I color. The total carat weight for all gems is 1.94ct and the ring weighs a solid 5.40 grams. This ring has been professionally certified and appraised for $3,550.00 CAD ($3,300.00 USD currently), and the original appraisal is included with your purchase.

The sparkle and beauty emitted from this one-of-a-kind find is breathtaking. Currently a US size 6.25, the ring is sizable if necessary, however, as tanzanite shouldn't be exposed to heat higher than 600 degrees, we encourage only using a professional jeweler to re-size this fine collectible piece of jewelry!!
