This little kitty is perched cosily on top of the ring as if she were relaxing by a fireplace after exhausting herself playing with ball of blue yarn. Except in this case, the ball of yarn is actually a beautifully cut and prong-set blue gemstone!

According to the lady who sold me this one, she gets a reading with her presidium gem tester for an aquamarine. Well we're not getting that with our Presidium gem tester: what we are getting is topaz or possibly spinel. So we're going with that. Either way, the gemstone is just lovely and a fabulous blue color.

This size 5.5 - 6 ring is pretty old but it's utterly charming. It weighs 2.2 grams. What sets this ring apart from other cat or kitty rings I've sold or come across is the fact, that apart from the genuine gemstone, it's fashioned from 14k. That makes it rather unique, don't you think?
