Superb and Rare Napoleon III Palais Royal Tortoise Shell and dore bronze egg shaped Perfume Etui.

Approx. 6 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in length.

Stunning caramel colored shell and trimmed in the dore bronze. Has 2 handles with wreathes and what looks to be the shape of a Napoleonic hat with beaded handles.

Sets upon a 4 flora form and large beads accents with smaller beaded stand.

Top, which is depressed to open, is beautifully cast in a swirl and circular design.

Interior is trimmed in original silk rick rack.

2 original bottles with stoppers and flip caps sit in the crown style sleeves.

Fantastic. I see no signs of restoration. Works well and patina is glorious.
