This 3 piece Mexican sterling silver parure set is composed of a very large flower brooch and matching earrings, each with a round amethyst cabochon in the center. The flowers are made up of flat bands of silver looped like ribbon towards the center stones. These are early examples of Mexican silver work, marked only SILVER MADE IN MEXICO on the back of the brooch and SILVER MEXICO on the back of the earrings.

The brooch is enormous, measuring 3.125" in diameter and about .5" thick. The brooch alone weighs 62.7 gr. The earrings each measure 1.5" in diameter and combined weigh 20.4 gr.

Condition: The earrings have had their original screw backs clipped off and pierced fish hook wires added by piercing on ribbon of silver and attaching a jump ring. Otherwise the set is in good condition.

This is a large and dramatic set of early Mexican silver jewelry that is sure to catch attention.
