11" Skookum Composition Indian Baby Doll

This is a darling 11" composition American Indian baby doll made by Skookum. Obviously Skookum jumped on the Bye-lo baby doll craze when they designed these dolls, but the gave them a uniquely ethnic appearance that is all their own. I'm especially fond of these dolls, and they are hard to find. This particular Skookum baby has superior paint finish on the head and a very pristine cloth body. The squeaker in the tummy doesn't work, but then they seldom do by now. The baby has its original felt booties, but the diaper and baby gown are vintage replacements. The Indian blanket he/she comes wrapped in is a modern replacement.

Condition: This doll has had some restoration to 4 finger tips on its right hand and 2 finger tips on the left hand. Otherwise good condition.

I love these little Skookum babies. They are hard to find and even harder to part with!
