This is a rare antique doll sized trunk that doubles as a child's bank. It has 2 coin slots on the top. The outside is covered in black paper and strapped by simulated leather bands in paper with an impressed border.There is a metal key plate on the front. The interior is lined in vivid purple paper. the key is missing.

This little trunk measures only 5.5" long by 2.625" deep by 2.5" tall. It is a perfect scale for a 16" -18" French fashion doll accessory.

Condition: There is some wear and loss to the paper cover inside and out and some loss to the banding, but largely intact. Key is missing.

This small chest may have been a promotional item given to children by a bank to encourage saving. It is a rarity, and perfect accompaniment to add to an antique doll's possessions.
