This is a antique miniature china frozen Charlotte doll and its wooden cradle. The frozen Charlotte doll is just over 2" tall. It is an early model without modeled hair but with black painted brushstrokes to indicate the hair. The doll dates from circa mid 1800s. The cradle is estimated to be later, circa 1900, but it is a nice bed for this little babe to rest in. The cradle's "mattress" is simply a wad of old cotton batting wrapped in flannel. The "blanket" is a scrap of old fabric. The pillow is a recent addition. The cradle measures 5.5" long by 3.5" tall by 3" wide.

Condition: The doll has a small dark patch on the stomach which is a manufacturing defect.

This little doll and its bed would make a nice addition to a large scale doll house or as a baby for your antique doll.
