This is a fine unmarked rectangular silver, tested close to sterling grade, brooch with an applied wire worked abstract design. The design appears to be an abstract Caduceus, the medical symbol. It has been purposefully patinated darker around the abstract design. This handcrafted piece is estimated to date from circa 1940s-1960s and displays high style mod design influence.

The brooch measures 1.25" x 1.5". It weighs a sturdy 12.4 gr. It has a working safety clasp.

This is a very distinctive and unusual vintage brooch. Quite artsy and retro.
