This is a nice early vintage Mexican sterling silver brooch with a triangular carved green stone ethnic face, with silver headdress and dangling earrings. The brooch is marked only STERLING MEXICO. The stone is probably agate. I estimate that it dates from circa 1940s.

The brooch weighs 16.6 gr. It measures 2" long x 1.875" across. It's about .375" thick, excluding the pin clasp. It has its original working pin stem and safety clasp.

Condition: One of the dangling earrings has a ding indented slightly in the center. Typical silver tarnish.

This is a good vintage example of Mexican silver work with ethnic appeal.
