This Victorian period cameo features a popular classical scene depicting the beautiful goddess Hera offering a bowl of water the the God Zeus - in the guise of an eagle. Hera kneeling on one knee. The eagle is arched over her head. The setting is unmarked sterling silver (tested), and is embellished with a studding of little balls around the edges.

This is a good sized cameo, measuring 2" x 1.625". It weighs 12.3 gr. The cameo is signed on the back. It looks something like "Lamury".

Condition: The safety chain that would have been connected to the loop on the back is missing. There is some superficial wear to the details and high points of the cameo.
