Back from vacation and busy preparing to add new finds in the coming weeks. Get the jump on your holiday shopping!
Her clothing is all original and is tightly sewn in place. She has a printed cotton dress. The bodice has what appears to be a triangle of linen applied to simulate a stomacher, over top of a blue cotton waist sash and shawl collar. The same blue trims the hem of her dress. She has a gauzy cotton petticoat under the dress.
Condition: Her dress is rather grubby and has stains. A section of the blue hem trim in back has come undone. Someone has put a dab of glue on her back, apparently to hold down the shawl collar, or perhaps she was attached to something once. Her left arm is broken inside the dress sleeve, though all parts are contained within. The tip of her left toe is broken off and her right leg is loose at the knee joint. There is some wear to the paint.
Note: There is no repainting or touch up of paint anywhere on this doll.
It's so nice to find an early doll of this type that hasn't been meddled with.
