This is a lovely antique fan shaped pendant brooch set with flat cut garnets in an unmarked (tested) closed back 9K rose gold setting. It has been matched to a 20" old gold filled rope chain of later vintage marked 1/20th 14K GF N/C. The garnets have especially nice bright color, despite being in closed back settings, so perhaps are foil backed. The combined weight of chain and pendant brooch is 3.3 gr. The base of the pendant is hallmarked with the lion rampant silver standard, an anchor for Birmingham, and the date mark of capital letter B within a rectangle. You can still see some tiny remnants of the button shanks on the back on either side of the earring backs that were attached.
