This is a very beautiful hand carved shell cameo brooch . The profile is of a lovely lady with upswept hair and a strand of beads at her neck. The shell cameo is prong set in a 14Kt gold mounting with twisted gold band encircling the cameo. The brooch has a loop for use as a pendant and it is marked "14K". The brooch is 7/8" long and almost 3/4" wide. It is in excellent vintage condition and appears that it probably was not worn much, if at all. It comes in a new cotton box, ready for gift giving.
