This wonderful platter is a recent acquisition from a South Louisiana estate. It is the hand painted Lexington Rose pattern by Red Wing Pottery and is hallmarked on the back with the Red Wing mark. The platter is 13" x 10 3/4". Red Wing Pottery was noted for unusual design in dinnerwear and this platter is no exception. It tends to have a square look, yet oval! It is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It has some light crazing. The hand painting is excellent. My picture tends to show the platter slightly dark, but it is not! This lovely platter is a great find and would be a great addition to your Red Wing collection!
