Lacquered Hardboard Trivets ~ Fox Hunt

These two trivets were recently acquired from a Southern estate. I have several others to be listed in the Fox Hunt design. These hardboard trivets have a eucalyptus cork and hardboard substrate topped with the art print and lacquer. The original art was drawn b Henry Aiken from an engraving by R. G. Reeve and one is entitled "Getting Away" and one "Drawing the Cover". The trivets are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" and are in wonderful vintage condition. The "Drawing the Cover" trivet has a few light cut marks across it and is reflected in the price. The lacquered surface is stain resistant and scuff proof. What beautiful table art for your social gatherings!
