Circa 40's Italian Pottery Burro and Cowboy with Dual Basket Vases

This unique and lovely piece of pottery was recently acquired from the estate of a 98-year old lady. She was a decorator and had many lovely pieces that I was fortunate to obtain. Her daughter stated that she recalled this piece when she was a child. It is a burro with HUGE ears with a cowboy atop the back of the burro holding dual baskets. The baskets could be used for holding flowers (cactus would be ideal) or simply use the piece for accent. I only see a tiny tip from the cowboys hair in front that is missing, but with the design it goes unnoticed. There are a few tiny places where the glaze did not cover (designer mark) but it is not chipped or scratched. The bright colors of yellow, green, blue and red are beautiful and work so well with this piece. The lovely vase is just shy of 7 1/2" tall and is 6" wide. This piece of Italian artwork is grand! It is signed and numbered on the bottom.
