BARGAIN BASEMENT. This is vintage at its best! This majestic Rhodium Plated rhinestone brooch is simply breathtaking! It is crowned with wonderful blue navettes and tiny round cut rhinestones. The ribbons are channel set with clear rhinestone baguettes separated by single round cut rhinestones. All stones are bright and clear ~ any yellowing is strictly from the flash. The Rhodium Plating is flawless. The brooch appears to have not been worn. The 2 3/4" wide brooch is signed Trifari with the Crown and the copyright symbol. A simply wonderful thing about this brooch is that is comes in the original box that is 4 1/2" x 6" and bears the Trifari hallmark on the front. A very special touch is that there is a note dated from the 50s tucked away in the tray under the box! It was once a special gift for a special person! Although I could not find a patent number for this brooch, the matching bracelet has a patent number issued to Alfred Philippe, so I would certainly assume the brooch is his design as well. A Back Street Collection piece.
