Double Chiffon 50s vintage Nightgown Peignoir Set~ Rhinestone Button~ M

Glamorous vintage late 50's peignoir set.. very "old Hollywood".. Entirely in black silky nylon and double black chiffon!

The nightgown features an entirely chiffon bodice.. even the back is sheer chiffon to the empire waist seam. Tiny lace edges the round neckline, a little button closes in back at the neck and leaves a keyhole opening.

From the empire waist up, lace discretely covers the bust, over the black chiffon. Bust is darted for a perfect fit. From the empire waist to the floor, the gown has an amazing full sweep of almost 100".

Matching peignoir is just as elegant. Entirely double black chiffon, it too has a round neckline, edged with blak lace..

the neckline closes with a fabulous round rhinestone button.. each rhinestone is prong set!

Sleeves are HUGE puffs and made of single layer chiffon~ NINE full inches of lace creates the bottom half, the lace softly gathered at the cuff (no elastic).

The double layer of chiffon of the robe floats to the floor in a full 100" sweep.

Label ~ Pink script looped cloth side seam- Sears..100% Nylon, size 36. Should fit a s, small, m, medium, please let the measurements be your guide

Note: Vintage sizing is NOT standardized, please compare these measurements to something comfortable that you already own, Shown on a size 6 mannequin over 6 ft tall.

Condition ~ this set has no flaws.. it appears to have been stored, virtually unworn for 50 years. Please note however, as black lace ages, it turns a plum color. This has happened to the lace on bodice, edging on neckline of both pieces, and very very faint on the lace of the sleeves.
