just exquisite! the fabric to this vintage 70s set is outstanding.. it feels as light, fluid and wispy as silk.. and has a satin sheen to it.. just incredible next to your skin..

and the colors are glorious.. navy paisleys edged and detailed in pewter and white.. little bouquets of yellow and red, leaves of green on a red satin jacquard background..completely unique!

nightgown has rolled fabric straps and a small vee neckline just over an inch wide, and the gathers of the long gown fall from it to the floor. simple and sweet, not distracting from the fabulous fabric.

matching peignoir is a wrap style with a wide matching fabric sash. the rolled collar is overstitched in tiny rows, creating a quilted effect that subtly accents the robe..

long sleeves repeat the quilted design and are edged with white satin piping as is the collar and both sides of the front opening all the way to the hem of the robe.

you'll wish it was Saturday so you could stay in this all day.. its that wonderful!

Label ~ looped neck label - Mary Mc Fadden .. Made in USA .. S ( small) Separate Neiman Marcus Label. 100% Polyester, it measures:

Bust ~ 32 - 36 Hips ~ 56 Arm Openings ~ 20 Length ~ 57 Sweep ~62

Condition ~ extremely gently worn, there is a small pull at the right bust, hard to find but notable, and about 6" of stitching at the left side seam above the hem came undone when i put it in the washer ( i know~ that was stupid!) looks to be a simple repair by anyone skilled with a needle. Peignoir fabulous with no apparent flaws.
