Quilted Flannel Calico Robe ~ vintage 60s Long & Lacy ~ S

Absolutely gorgeous vintage very early 1960s flannel robe. I have only had the pleasure of finding one other like this in over 10 years.. and it went in minutes! This one is even prettier.. the outside the softest light brushed cotton flannel in a deep maroon. An all over calico print of teeny pink, blue and yellow flowers with light green vines and leaves.

Completely quilted, the bath robe is a wrap style, closing at the waist with one simple hook and eye, and a matching fabric belt. The vee neck is edged with pink rolled satin piping and a ruffle of ecru lace that continues all the way down to the waist.

Long sleeves repeat the piping and the ruffled lace, so very feminine. A single pocket is concealed in the right side seam. Inside of the robe is off white nylon.

The robe has a perfect A-line sweep, so its very princess - like on! Would make a wonderful Christmas gift!

Label ~ Jennifer Dale.. 50% Cotton, 50% Acetate, 100% polyester batting. Union logo on back of label. Tagged a vintage size 7, should fit comfortably a XS, or S small, it measures:

Bust ~ 36 Waist~ 36 hips ~ 42 arm opening ~ 17 Back, shoulders, arm seam to seam ~ 14 length - shoulder to hem ~ 55 sweep of hem ~ 59

Note: Vintage sizing is NOT standardized, please compare these measurements to something comfortable that you already own, Shown on a size 6 mannequin over 6 ft tall.

Condition ~ Extremely gently worn, the only flaw I can find are two small holes in the inside in the white nylon quilting near the right arm. Holes are not thru to the fabric. very wearable as is, or appears to be easily mendable by anyone skilled with a needle. (sorry, will have to leave to you to do)
