We are on our annual buying trip, so our next shipping dates are Dec 1, 2 & 3; after that we'll ship Jan 1st. Happy Holidays
Since there is no waistband, these are faced with interfaced bias muslin. The centerback seam has a zipper (9" metal Waldes...cool, and rare by now), and the clear plastic top closure button is on a placket inside and under the zipper rather than outside of the garment. sigh.
These are simply designed. Single front darts. Single back darts. Side seams. And a center front to back seam. 3/4" double turned hem.
These measure 30" at the top of the waist. Laid flat, and 7" down from the top of the waist (theoretical hips) measures 41". The outside leg seam is 36.75" Inseam: 24.5" Around the hem is 14". From the center front of the waist to the crotch seam is 15.25", from the crotch seam back up the back seam to the waist is 18.25".
I am a solid Gap size 8. These fit me okay, but would be better guessed as a size 10.
Now, we've barely mentioned the fabric on these yummy pants...it is a wonderful vintage small wale cotton corduroy.
It is a fabulous combination of black, poppy red, olive green and tan. There are diagonal dotted stripes in black on each of the other three tones in a houndstooth (zig zag) pattern. SO cool!
There are no labels or tags on these, although they do look professionally sewn as the seams are all serged (before we all had home sergers).
This is truly a fabulous pair of vintage 50s (late, or early 60s) pants...and in terrific condition (no worn areas, no spots, no rips, no pulled seams).
Would be cute as can be with a little red sweater and pointy flats, or black is always classic!
