Vintage Boyd's St. Louis Men's Leather Reptile Wingtip Oxford Shoes 9C

This is a wonderful pair of vintage men's shoes. When we first glanced at them, we just figured they were embossed croc or gator (some kind of reptile) shoes...but as we were polishing them, we noticed that they are actual scales of leather. Yes, that's right. These are the real thing. Only thing is, we're not sure how to determine the difference between crocodile or alligator...but one thing is sure: they are cool.

The inside label reads "Made expressly for Boyd's St. Louis Clayton." And they are also labeled as 9C, measuring 11.75" from toe to back, and 4" at the widest part of the ball of the foot.

These shoes feature wing tips, the back heel tip, and the curved mid section, all with zigzag finish and hole & double dot edging. They are a warm reddish brown tone with 10 hole lace ups oxford styling.

They're in very good condition; they have been worn, so there is slight scuffing at the left ball, and on the back of the right heel. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS!! They polished up beautifully, and do look great.

Retail for a NEW gator or croc pair of men's wingtips would run easily over $300...these are such a steal!
