It is prettily combined with black velvet along the sides, swirling up the sculptured front, and across the top above three shaped tucks more of the shiny fabric.

There are two wonderful pink flowers (roses, actually) made of fabric (feels crisp like an organdy) and each one has two velvet petals at their bases. They are on a stem of green wrapped plastic, and there are shiny green and brown shaded fabric leaves, as well. Beneath the roses, on top of the tucks there are pewter toned beads wired and shaped like seeds.

There is a pretty (and demurely sexy) netting that flirts along the front, and is tied in the back with skinny black velvet tails. The body of the hat is open, and shapes to a point in the back! These were especially popular in the early 50's, and are very sought after again now. This truely is a great collectible, yet totally wearable!

(Or, we like to decorate with them; group a few vintage hats together on a shelf in a walk-in closet, with piles of precious one-of-a-kind handbags & stilettos nearby...makes it nice and girl-ey!)

This hat is in beautiful condition. Wonderfully clean, and in excellent vintage condition, the netting is amazing! No labels. This measures 10.5" from the curve at the center front of the hat inside along the hat to the point in the back. Works on many head sizes due to the open shape of the design!
