Vintage Joy Dorcey New York Felted Fur Hat with Satin Trim & Tassels

This is a pretty combination of black felted fur (feels like velvet!) and cleverly reinforced satin trim around the inner rim as well as the outer brim on this hat.

It is labeled "Joy Dorsey New York", with a "Large" label tucked into the grosgrain ribbon liner, and "Elegance Made of Imported Fur" stamped into the interior of the hat.

The most adorable part of this hat are the two little tassels (1.25" long) that flirtatiously dangle on the right front side!

This is (as mentioned before) marked Large; we measure 21" around the grosgrain ribbon. The front brim is a little over 2.5" high while the back is 2".

This is prettily shaped, beautifully made. It is in very good vintage condition with ever so slight "lightening" of the satin near the tassels. (Please see close up photos).

VERY wearable, very collectible. Great structural piece; estimated to be from the late 40's/early 50's.
