Vintage 60's SURFRIDER Sportswear Honolulu Tiki Shift Dress

We love this sweet little Hawaiian dress by the super aloha wear manufacturer, Surfrider! The print is a gorgeous soft floral abstract in muted tones of olive green, tangerine and cocoa on a lightweight, smooth cotton twill, like a polished cotton, but not quite as shiny.

This vintage 60's dress is in outstanding condition and has some really cool design lines.

For instance, the yoke and cap sleeves construction: they are cut as one in two pieces, with an overlap front "V" with a braided knot detail and centerback seam. The sleeves have a clean bound finish, the right side seam has an inseam pocket near the hip, and both side seams are finished with very cool 7.5" slits with a braid knot detail at each side.

And, this has the COOLEST label with an embroidered surfer on a board in the waves with the famous "Surfrider Sportswear Manufacturers Made in Honolulu Hawaii" (and "S").

The measurements for this straight shift dress are: 44" from the bust line down to the hem, and 40" from shoulder to hem. This is pretty as is, OR would be ADORABLE hemmed to a babydoll length and worn as a coverup, OR cut to hip length and worn as a very cool hippie look peasant top (not that we would do that, though...).
