Vintage "Lucky Star New York" Red Faille Fitted Shirtwaist Dress S

This gorgeous late 1940's/early 1950's red faille shirt waist dress is labeled "Another Lucky Star Fashion New York." There are ROWS of fabulous tiny pin tucks in the yoke of the bodice, on the collar, and on the cuff trim of the sleeves.

This has an interesting 3/4 length (16") cuffed sleeve with double elbow darts for a nice fit, and which is dolman cut in the front, and set-in in the back.

It has a tiny fitted waist (26"), and a gorgeous full skirt with box pleats in the front for a more flattering fit! (We are showing it with a crinoline & black accessories, which are not included; it does look VERY pretty without the petticoat, though, too.)

This measures 15.5" from neck point to waist, and is 46" from the neck point all the way to the hem. The bust is 34", and across the back is 15". There are tiny pads in the shoulders. The buttons are covered in the same red faille as the dress.

There are a couple of minor issues: there is a small VERY light spot by the buttons on the skirt front, and another one near the armseye, neither of which are readily visible when worn. (please see photos) Also, it looks like a there was a snap under the centerfront of the neckline previously (see photo close up, please); we have left the snap off rather than replacing it, as we feel it would be more distracting if it WERE snapped shut. This pretty dress is in otherwise excellent vintage condition.

This is a perfect tea party or lunch-with-the-girls dress! With black hat, gloves, handbag and heels, you'd be ready to go in style!
