There was a big Victorian influence on clothing in the 1970s and this is one fabulous example of it:

This has a stand up collar with double-button closure at the neck, the collar and wrists are gather trimmed with a beautiful cotton crochet lace (7/8" wide). The puff sleeves have 8 rows of 1/4" tucks at the top of the arms to add visual interest and shaping, suggesting the leg-o-mutton sleeves popular in the predecessor blouse.

The side seams are slightly shaped to provide a nice slimming fit. This also has man-tailored shaped hem.

This is labeled "30"; we consider it a small to medium size. Laid flat it measures:

Bust: 38" The side seams taper in to 34", then back out to 36". Back shoulders: 15" Neck point to shoulder point: 5" Shoulder point to sleeve hem: 24" Center back of the neck to hem: 23.5" Around wrist: 7"

In beautiful, freshly laundered ready-to-wear condition with no issues whatsoever. Would be striking worn with a long brown cordoroy skirt and boots, or charming with jeans and heels!
