SOLD Victorian Era "Show-Stopping" Huge Bracelet Fit for a Queen
This is the best of the best! This is a Victorian bracelet, made of a silver colored metal, and adorned totally with blue and turquoise faceted glass stones. All of the stones are bezel set. Certainly this bracelet was originally designed for a woman of substance or of royalty. It will literally take your breath away! Because women during the Victorian era were mostly smaller than we are today, at some point in the past someone lengthened each of the nine separate chains that form the band. Please look closely at my photographs to see what I mean. The band has a width, with all those chains, of 1 1/4 inches. The centerpiece, which would today be considered "Runway" material, has a center section, hinged with a side section on each side of the center. The repousse work is exceptional and topped with brilliant glass stones. There is a hidden box clasp that is very secure, along with a safety chain for added security. (You won't want to lose this!) The total length of the bracelet is 6 1/2 inches. The centerpiece takes up 3 inches of that length and is 2 1/8 inches wide in the center. This is in excellent condition and is a work of art.
