Uranium Apple Green Opaline Glass Covered Dresser Dish

This is Opaline Glass. I believe it was made in England, and contains Uranium. To me, there is no glass more beautiful than Opaline glass! The photograph I took of this piece under a black light shows that it glows so brilliantly it's almost blinding! That photograph is untouched. This has a polished bottom, which shows shelf wear, which is exactly what you would expect to find. Originally, this was meant for a ladies dressing table. The size would have been perfect for holding jewelry, trinkets, etc. I've tried to truly capture the marvelous green color that it is. It has a small chip on one of the base points, which you can see in one of my additional photographs. The little top is domed in shape. This measures 2 3/4 inches, across the center of the top. It has a height, with the lid in place, of 3 inches. The bottom has an embossed registration number, which I have also tried to show clearly in one of my additional photographs. I would give this an overall condition, given its age, of extremely good. What a little beauty!
