SOLD Victorian Mesh Slide Tassle Bracelet with Enameled Red Glass Centerpiece

This is a glorious Victorian era Tassle Bracelet. It is made of brass. Measuring a total length of 8 1/4 inches, it can be adjusted as short as needed. That is because the clasp closes over the band, snapping shut at your desired length. The band is mesh and is 3/4 inch wide. The tassel end has an ornately carved piece, holding the tassels, which are made of tiny, thin chains, in place. The clasp doubles as the centerpiece and is magnificent. Atop an ornate repousse rectangle is a heavily, decoratively carved, prong set glass cabochon. The cabochon is a red color, often referred to as "Pigeon Blood". It is carved with a star which is enameled in gold, and has a small red glass stone in the center. The centerpiece is 1 1/4 inch long by 1 inch wide. I haven't cleaned this piece, as I feel the patina it has acquired over its lifetime adds so much beauty. This wondrous Victorian bracelet is in excellent condition.
