I absolutely love jewelry from the Victorian Era, and I have an enormous personal collection. This is one of my all time favorites! I'm finally parting with it as I can't wear it and after years of searching to match the chains of the band, to no avail, have given up the hope of wearing it myself. It is quite small, length-wise, as ladies from that era were smaller than most of us today. It is only 6 inches long, sadly. Five separate brass chains comprise the bracelet's band, and every single link is delicately and completely hand carved. It has a decoratively carved box clasp, in good working order. Now for the details on the centerpiece.....Gorgeous doesn't begin to describe it! It measures 1 3/4 inch round. Made also of brass, every spec is hand carved, filigree, and repousse leaves, and an edge all the way around that turns under, giving so much depth. The brilliant red stones are made of faceted glass, as are the little red dangles on the brass chains hanging from the centerpiece. This is a spectacular Victorian bracelet, in excellent condition.
