This Hawkeye picnic basket is in near excellent original condition. The basket measures approximately 21" long by 10 1/2" wide and stands about 12" tall to the removable top. Once opened, the zinc lined insides becomes visible, and the zinc is in excellent condition. The open compartment of the picnic basket is 13 1/4" long by 8 !/2" wide and is about 6" deep. The surface rust under the bucket was wiped off with a cloth. The piece stands about 18 1/2" tall with the handles up. There is 5 1/2" between where the handles attach to the basket. The strap is also original. The Hawkeye and Burlington, Iowa tag on the top of the removable cover is in very good condition also, there is 1 spot where the reed is broken at a taper of about 1 1/2".
