Walnut Sideboard with Oval Beveled Mirror and Carved Doors.

Terrific walnut sideboard in as found condition. This piece has lots of potential and we are considering restoring it, as it should be. In the meantime we are offering it for sale.

The piece measures 54" wide by 20" deep and stands 66 1/2" tall to the top of the mirror. The height of the base unit is 37". The mirror measures 42' x 21" oval and has a 1" bevel. The mirror is in excellent condition.

The base unit consists of 5 visible drawers, 2 doored units and 1 hidden drawer. The 2 small drawers are 12" wide by 14 1/2" deep and are 3 1/2" inside depth. The bottom flat front drawer is 20" wide by 14 1/2" deep with an inside depth of 7 3/4". The hidden drawer, is 20" wide by 16" deep with an inside depth of 4". The 2 side doors have carved fronts and are 12 1/2" wide by 19" tall. The inside depth is 14" and there is 1 fixed shelf on each side. The drawers are all dovetail construction and all the hardware is original and in excellent condition.

The original finish has been left on both sides and top of the base unit and the drawer and door fronts have had the original shellac finish removed and a polyurethane finish has been put on. The original color has not been disturbed. There is also about a 12" separation in one of the glue joints in the top. The piece has a great look overall, and lots of potential. If you are looking for a great walnut sideboard at a reasonable price, don't let this one get away. If we restore this piece, the price and value of the piece will increase, also.
