This beautiful one-of-a-kind necklace features a focal bead by Jewelry Artisan Jai (Michele J. Johnson) of Leo Jewelry. The focal bead is a hand-painted polymer clay bead titled "Blue Sky & Roses". A labor intensive impasto technique is used to create the floral image. The bead is signed "Jai" in script on the back. These one-of-a-kind works of art takes 8-24 hours to create by hand.

The "Blue Sky & Roses" focal bead pendant has a pretty Siam AB Swarovski crystal, faux pearl, and fancy sterling silver rondelles. It hangs from a sterling silver pendant drop.

The necklace features Viking Knit sterling silver. Viking Knitting is a technique of weaving silver on a mandrel. This technique was used by Vikings to weave both wire and fiber into both clothing and jewelry. This necklace was created after many hours of intensive detailed work under a magnifying lamp. After weaving, the wire was drawn through a drawplate to reduce the weaving to the desired finished diameter.

The ends of the Viking Knit are secured in sterling silver end caps. There are more Siam AB Swarovski crystals which are individually linked with sterling silver towards the clasp.

Necklace measures 16" long.

Focal bead pendant measures 7/8" x 2-7/8".

For ease of use, a sterling silver magnetic clasp has been added.
