You will find a selection of unique creations in silver in the Artisan section by jewelry artist, Jeanne M. Bellone. Sterling silver and fine silver are the basis of many of her signed Artisan pieces that you will be proud to wear or give as gifts. One of Jeanne's specialties is creating luxurious pieces using the age-old technique called "Viking Knitting" which is weaving silver wire on a mandrel. Each piece using this method can take anywhere from 6 to over 50 hours of intensive work.

Artist Statement for Jeanne M. Bellone

Being almost exclusively self-taught, I am a pioneer without boundaries. My love for originality and uniqueness meshes with my love for symmetry and enduring quality of construction.

One of my specialties is Viking Knitting which is a technique used by the Vikings to weave wire into clothes and jewelry. This technique, using fine or sterling silver wire, is incorporated into many of my designs.

I am the creator of an innovative technique which incorporates early 1900's vintage seed beads from purses of that era, to create designs which are truly one-of-a-kind and which gives a delightful second life to bead materials that otherwise would be discarded.

Many of my designs feature unique vintage and contemporary beads and other materials which add a timeless beauty to my wearable works of art.

Most pieces are signed with my logo which I designed as well.

You'll be proud to own and wear one of my one-of-a-kind heirloom quality designs.
