Antique English Guilloché Enamel Gold Cased Cigarette / Card Case

Antiques : English Edwardian Art Deco Guilloche Enamel Ladies' Cigarette / Card Case Signed

 

An antique English Edwardian cigarette case, dating to the early 1900s and in fine original condition. Featuring beautifully decorated edges of chased scrolling leaves and engine-turned engraved front and back. The front of the case is decorated with translucent raspberry pink guilloché enamel over the engraved starburst design. The case measures almost 3 3/8 inches by 2 3/8 inches and is 3/8" deep. The case is in fine condition, just minor surface scratches to the enamel, and some slight discoloration at the edge. The inside is in good clean condition, with very little sign of wear, and the original gold color elastic is intact and in place. Stamped "Gold Cased" inside. Although originally a case for cigarettes, this would make a delightful ladies' card case today, and a lovely gift.
